Cattle drive to the Urnerboden
The herd of cows and their farmers return to the Urnerboden from the surrounding “Stäfu”.
41 farming families walk back with approx. 1000 cows from the “Stäfu” to the Urnerboden. Some of them have traditionally decorated their cows with wreaths of flowers and the cowbells ring out across the entire Klausenpass. After the parade, peace returns to the Klausen Pass area and fall arrives.
The Familys and their cattle are expected at Urnerboden between 6 am and 10.30 am.
Traffic obstructions are to be expected and we recommend that you return to the road either before or after the event.
